Drugs in sport * The all embracing word drugs covers a wide variety of substances; some of which are legal and illegal * Some of the obvious ones which are excepted in society and which we use on a regular basis are; caffeine, nicotine and also ethanol- more commonly known as alcohol. * Alcohol in moderation may not necessarily be a hazard to health - smoking always is! * There are also other drugs that we use on a frequent basis - these are referred to as Medicines.
