Claire Weller An experiment to find the effect of exercise on pulse rate PLAN Aim: To conduct an experiment to find out what the effect of exercise is on pulse rate. Equipment: Skipping rope, stopwatch/clock, cd player. Method: I am going to conduct an experiment to find out what the effect of exercise is on pulse rate. I will use a skipping rope to skip for different amount of times, but at the same speed. I will then record my heartbeat by counting how many beats I have in 30 seconds, and multiply this by two, to get a number of beats per minute, which is my heart rate. I am going to do 7 tests for each experiment, from 0 seconds to 180 seconds (3 minutes). I will do the experiment 1 time only, as I am unlikely to get any anomalous results. If I happen to find an anomalous result, I will do that particular timing...
