A Grotesque Discovery I walked into the room and proceeded to exhale noisily at the sight of the mess that had been so untidily fashioned from the night before. The scent was overpowering, coffee, stale cigarettes, sweat. Disgusting. The bed was in disarray and strewn with clothes that seemed to finish the final touches of the chaotic mess. I picked up the scarlet silk nightdress, it was comforting to hold, soft and silky, it slipped out of my hands on to the floor. I looked to the bedside table and there was a bottle of pills, spilt into the ashtray full of black and grey ashes. I sighed again and decided to start off small with the whole tidying regime that I'd been forced to do.
