Aim: to investigate how different amount of moler concentration of glucose affects the length of a small potato chip. Background information= osmosis is the net movement of water molecules (weak solution) from a region of high water concentration, through a semi permeable membrane to a region of low water concentration. A semi permeable membrane is a thin layer with pores surrounding a plat or animal cell and it is also known as a cell membrane because the pores sure tiny, only small molecules are allowed to pass through. Osmosis is when high concentrations moves to a low concentration. This movement of water molecules can occur in both directions, there maybe more movement out of the cell; sometimes the net movement will be balanced.
