The Biological Importance of Water Water is a vital on Earth for all life to be present. We may not actually notice how important water is in order for our survival and we sometime take our continuous supply of it for granted but that should not be the case at all. Water is a major component of cells. It forms between 70 and 95% of the mass of all cells. Thus this means that the human body is made up of an average of about 80% water by mass and animals such as the jellyfish are made up of about 96% water. Water also provides a stable environment for organisms to live in, 75% of the earth is covered in water. Water is a very simple molecule which is made up of two hydrogen atoms and one oxygen atom; H20. The hydrogen and oxygen atoms are bonded covalently....
