Investigating the factors, which affect the rate of photosynthesis in a pond plant Aim: To see how light intensity can affect the rate of reaction in the photosynthesis of a plant. Introduction: The following experiment which has been tested continually to produce a fair and accurate set of results. The investigation has brought about the key factors that affect a Canadian Pond plant and how the rate of Photosynthesis changes and varies. Photosynthesis is a chemical reaction occurring in the leaves of mostly green plants. Using the energy from sunlight, it changes Carbon dioxide into water and Oxygen. Oxygen is given off in this reaction as a waste product. This is ideal for us humans, as we need oxygen to survive, and this is why it's vital for the wellbeing off the trees.
