Through the years hundreds of different art techniques have been created using a wide variety of different materials, some successful some less so. Technique and materials used in art are what make art, art. For millions of years humans have had an interest in art, even in the stone age people were creating art on the walls of caves and ever since then we have been trying to perfect different artistic techniques. In this essay I will look at 5 different pieces of art all of which use different techniques and materials to try and show how different techniques and materials play an important role in modern painting and sculpture.
