Policies and procedures. The Marines try to develop a workforce through recruitment and staff selection etc. The Royal Marines has employment targets and has conducted a community and race relations act. I am going to identify how the marines develop a diverse workforce and how they promote opportunities for progression in the service, and I will also explain the policies and procedures and how these effect the diversity of the service. The Royal Marines have developed a diverse workforce by following the Race Relations Act 1976, which means that they will work in an environment where discrimination is unacceptable. They did this by identifying ares such as race, religion, gender, age, colour, ethnic origin and marital status. The Royal Marines believe everyone should have equal opportunities and should be able to work in an environment free from intimidation, sexual harassment and unlawful discrimination which may work against them when trying to fulfill...
