Aim To examine reasons for differential educational attainment of afro-Caribbean and Indian males at A-levels. The studies I have looked at give me reason to believe the rational explanation for these differential achievements are teachers don't treat all students equally and that the nature and culture of family life is the cause of difference in attainment. The reason for my action to do this content is because I attend a school that has predominantly Asian and afro-Caribbean students. I would also like to know weather teachers attitudes and behavior towards ethnic minorities has a diverse effect on those pupils. Context Nicholas Pyke did a study to see whether Afro-Caribbean boys fall behind in educational attainment. According to new studies afro-Caribbean boys produce poor scores in subjects like science.
