... 1. Yellow "Yellow" is a short story written by Peter Carty. The main character in this short story is a man called Jon, who indeed has many troubles in form of alcohol and social problems. His key problem is that and instead of figuring out how to solve his problems, he is yellow. I will try to look at his problems, and also therefore figure out why he at last takes the easiest way out of life. In my comparison I have used text 2: "Prospice" by Robert Browning and text 4: "What Is Reckless Op About?" The short story is set in Egypt, where Jon the main character just has arrived at the hotel he is going to live at on his stay. We already hear about his alcohol problems in line 4, when he dives into his duty-free - his alcohol problem. He was forced to go to Egypt by
