Corrections Title: Should violent juvenile criminals be tried as adults? Over the past few years, there has been an intense debate on the ways of trying violent juveniles who have committed brutal crimes. Some people suggest that juveniles should be tried as adults and sent to adult prisons with tougher penalties given as it acts as a strong deterrent to other juveniles. However some people suggest that juveniles should be sent to rehabilitation centres which focus on rehabilitation. In my opinion, violent juvenile criminals should not be tried as adults, instead they should be given an opportunity to receive rehabilitation. In fact, juveniles often commit crime because of family abuse, peer pressure and gangs, etc. It shows that they just want to stand out and tell others that how strong they are and how mature they are.
