Describe whether the balance between the rights of the individual and the powers of police are satisfactory in the above situation. Firstly, as the police do not have the power to question an individual if they have not been arrested due to the Police and Criminal Evidence Act section 29 therefore this is protecting the individual as he/she does not have to give any information away. In addition, it is satisfactory to the police as the individual will not be able to complain or cause major damages about something the officer may ask any inappropriate questions. ...
