I have split them into two categories the first being how I feel I have been influenced and the second being how I feel I have influenced others. Conformity Conformity is a form of social influence. Conforming is where you go along with others even thought sometimes you know you are correct. M.Sherif (Lights in Dark) M. Sherif used the 'auto kinetic' effect- a visual illusion in which a stationary dot of light appears to move when shown in a very dark room. Participants were taken into the room alone and were asked how much they thought that the light was moving. The answers varied from 2-25cm. Then the group went in to the room...
