" Children can't be disciples so they can't be Christians either." This statement is quite opinionated and therefore it is open to debate. Before I give my own personal opinion I will highlight points for people that agree and those that disagree. Those that agree with the statement claim; that it would be difficult for children to do the work of God, as they don't have the ability to preach or teach as learning for some has just begun. Maturity and responsibility does not come at young age therefore it would be false to claim that they could be true disciples. To be true disciples comes at a cost, as it requires giving up things that mean a lot to you such as family, friends and luxury for to expect a chid to do this it would be unfair as they rely totally on their parents and family.
