I disagree with this statement. A disciple is one who learns and who does Gods will. These traits are reflected in children as they can be seen as eager to learn, trusting and loving. Children can be seen to be followers of Jesus in very simple ways. Children have the ability to show compassion and concern for others. This is the way Christians should be towards God. Children can be seen as followers of Jesus in simple acts such as sharing sweets or toys. Children also can show they are followers of Christ by kindly gestures such as visiting an elderly or sick neighbour; thus putting into practice Christ's command "to love your neighbour as yourself".
