"The evidence from research into social development is that children are both adaptable and resilient and can cope with a wide variety of potentially difficult experiences." To some extend the research into deprivation and privation support this view. However they are all having problems with outside relationships e.g. don't have a special friend. Depending on the age they were being adopted or restored as younger the child is, the more chance being normal and have a good relationship with parents. The study Bowlby's Maternal Deprivation Hypothesis doesn't support much of the view. As the MDH state that deprivation of attachment during critical period of development would result in permanent emotional damage.
