Each definition that's defined gives you totally different or similar meaning. The definition that I like is very simple that I found in the dictionary as self esteem, "a confidence and satisfaction as oneself" and self concept as "the mental image one has on self (Byrne, 1990)."It also explain in the reading, "Self esteem is considered to be the overall value that one places on oneself as a person, whereas self concept is viewed as the body of self-knowledge that individuals posses about themselves (Baumeister, 1953)."
