Monday 16th June 2003, as usual my alarm clock chimed at exactly 6.30am. Unlike many other mornings, on this particular one I didn't feel like getting up. "Great, Work Experience!" I said to myself as I stretched over my bed to draw the curtain open. What stood before was something I was now quite used to. 'Wet weather, as usual" I thought to myself "Dad, could I please grab a lift from you when you are going to work?" I asked as I had my last gulp of coffee at the breakfast table "You may have a lift" he replied "although I wonder how you'll ever become independent if you are forever asking for lifts" Typical of my Dad to say such a thing, I silently thought to myself.
