Differing views have emerged through the controversy surrounding the growing number of overweight children. While the term "obese" is used a lot by health experts, others may not know the exact meaning, being, increased body weight due to excessive accumulation of fat. This topic interests many people greatly as it may effect relatives or close friends. Britain is one of the fattest nations in Europe and although obesity in children was rare the number that are heavily overweight has doubled in the last ten years.
