I don't think it is right to completely protect children from suffering and death as when they did experience it, it would be too much of a shock and even harder to understand if it is new to them. Buddha was protected by his father until he was a grown man and decided to go outside the palace in which he had been in all his life. In the palace everything was kept to perfection, Buddha had never seen a dead flower or any emotions like crying or illness. When he finally saw the outside world he didn't understand what suffering was. When he saw a man crying he said that he didn't like the man's singing. In our society today we have grown to accept that suffering and death exists. We...
