Conventions and Codes of Children's dramas Characters In children's dramas they use young generations because in other genre dramas like Eastenders they are mostly made up of adults which shows it isn't a children's drama. The young generations have set personalities to act out in the children's drama e.g. Tracy Beaker: She has a wild imagination about how rich she will be in the future and how her mum does everything and is this superwoman figure. She is also very loud and grumpy if she doesn't get her way, a very big attention seeker. Basil Brush: Basil is thought to be a sly fox with clever wits and brains when really he is clumsy, an accident waiting to happen!
