Child Abuse. Should people make it their responsibility or not get involved? Many people are unaware of the child abuse that is taking place in today's society and many people are aware, but they are doing nothing about it. Every week hundreds of children are being abused, not only physically, but also mentally and sexually and most of them are suffering in silence. Only recently, and only in particular countries and cultures, has the abuse of children come to be seen as a major social problem and a main cause of many people's suffering and personal problems. People they know, either a family member or a close friend, are inflicting an astonishing number of these abuses on the children, and the children are afraid of telling anyone because they think they wont be believed, so what is our society coming to when children are suffering and people who know are doing nothing...
