From the period of 1906-1914 it showed that the labour party had increased in Parliament, trade union support, growing success in elections and growth in membership and party organisation and within these departments this was where the liberals declined. In fact 1906 was the most successful year for Labour in the history of the liberal administration. There were now far more working class men who had to vote and the Labour Party, which supported the working class, had a better chance of success than ever and because the conservatives and Liberals still largely represented the views of the middle and upper classes.
