The main aim of this essay is to analyse the relationship between the executive wing of the UK government and the legislative assembly in the UK. In order to do this it will be necessary to give an accurate description of the UK constitution highlighting its distinctive features and origins. This essay will also attempt to give an accurate description of the role of the prime minister in government and give an explanation of the cabinets' role. This essay will then go on to provide a clear explanation of parliament including its structures and processes.
