Features of a representative democracy a, Using the source, explain the term 'Prime Ministerial Government'. A prime ministerial government is one that is heavily centred on the wishes and commands of the current prime minister. A prime ministerial government tends to exclude the cabinet on important polices as the PM and maybe a few important ministers will make these decisions instead. In some cases the PM may also use informal groups rather than use his cabinet. An advantage of a PM government is that there tends to be less arguments and the party is said to be governed strongly. However as Tony Benn said in 1985, ' The centralisation of power at the hands of one person can go too far'. Would it not be better to look at all aspects of an argument with a number of people contributing to culminate in the right decision? Tony Benn's comments in the source suggest...
