In her suburban living room, hostess Beverly prepares for the arrival of her guests in the living room and Laurence, her estate agent husband, returns home late and makes some work calls, this is much to Beverly's annoyance. New neighbours Angela, who is a nurse, and Tony, who is her computer-operator husband, arrive later on.
