He was among a long line of rabbis from his father, Heinrich Marx, and his mother, Henrietta Marx, and therefore of Jewish descent (Karl Marx: The Person). Although his father Heinrich converted to the Anglican Church, it was strictly for financial reasons and he deemed it of no consequence (The History Guide). It is an important factor that Karl Marx' heritage be mentioned because it pertains to the way he was brought up as a Jew and a possible rabbi to be. This will give important information on why Karl Marx had communist ideas even from his youth along with his life long companion, Friedrich Engels (The History Guide). ...
