In what ways has Marxist feminism contributed to our understanding of the sexual subordination of women? Marxist feminism has contributed in a number of ways to our understanding of the sexual subordination of women. Marxist feminist have used a number of theories and techniques to help our understanding of the sexual subordination of women, which in part give an arguable answer to why there is such a subordination. From theories and techniques, Marxist feminism has produced sub categories to contribute to our understanding of sexual subordination of women. Through mainly the use of historical data, the observation of production, an analysis of ideology, through an examination of class and gender, a study into society and culture, and finally through the so called 'public' and 'private' spheres of life, our understanding of the sexual subordination of women is enhanced.
