Samara Fearon 11sm In September 2002, Yassir Arafat's headquarters were bombed by the Israelis as a reprisal attack to suicide bombings by Arab terrorists. There are several causes behind this conflict. This piece coursework will deal with three of the main causes. One of the first causes is terrorism. One example of this was in 1972 when Jewish athletes were killed by Arab terrorists. Acts like these breed reprisal attacks by the Jewish military. In September 2001 the most famous and shocking act of terrorism happened. Arab terrorists flew two airplanes into the twin towers, New York. This was the first attack that was actually against the super powers. Another cause is culture. This includes holy cites. These holy cites are important to both religions and neither group is willing to share them. Another example is culture clash; Jews and Arabs...
