Conflict between the Palestinians and Israelis has been the story of Middle Eastern relations since the creation of the Israeli State. Palestinians are upset due to losing control of their country to the Jews. The Israelis are upset due to the resistance and bombings the Palestinians have inflicted upon them. The causes for the conflict are many and the possible resolutions are few. The purpose of this essay is to find a possible solution to the Palestinian-Israeli conflict. Various solutions will be examined and weighed for possibility and chance of success while being balanced with possible consequences. Peaceful non-violent non-cooperation as taught by Gandhi will be explained and examined as one possible solution. The first point to be examined is the life and ideals of Gandhi.
