Apparatus: * Clamp stand * Springs * Weights * Meter ruler * Sticky tape * String * Brass rod * Astroturf mat Variables: * The following are variables that I could change to affect my results: * Load/weight (that will be applied to the springs) * Tightness of the springs (how close together the coils are) * Amount of springs that will be used The variable that I have chosen to use is the number of strings to be tested. Safety: The safety precautions that I am going to use are: * To support the clamp-stand with a suitable load so that it doesn't fall over and injure a person. * To wear safety goggles to prevent the springs from damaging my eyes.
