Dalton Galke A night wind can, to one person represent a cold, biting force but to another it brings peace and calm within darkened and softened natural images. The way in which such a natural force is interpreted depends entirely upon the circumstances in which one encounters it. To someone who has been tormented by misfortune and sadness a normally peaceful breeze blows right through them, chilling them to the bone. And for one who has been blessed with love and happiness, a harsh wind can be gentle as a child's breath. In the poem Night Wind by Christopher Dewdney, the twilight breeze is used to illustrate a person's journey through the past, the present and, the future.
