Electricity Project Introduction I am going to investigate some of the factors that may affect the resistance of a wire. I will show how this relates to the use of electrical cables in the transmission of electricity from power stations to the consumer. Apparatus X5 insulated connecting wires Ammeter Voltmeter Power pack X2 crocodile clips Ruler Resistor/1m of Nichrome wire Sticky tape Method I am going to investigate the connection between voltage and current, resistance and length and also investigate resistance per cm against length. The apparatus will be set up as pictured below; then I will secure the wire to a ruler using stick tape making sure it is as straight as possible, when connecting the ammeter and voltmeter, I will make sure that the ammeter is connected in series, and that the voltmeter is connected parallel and also that the positive side of the voltmeter and ammeter are connected to the positive side of the power pack and the negative...
