Blue and Green Music - oil on canvas 1919 The subject of this picture is unclear it could be an ordinary object or scene but very abstract or focused in, but it could be an imaginary scene. The title blue and green music suggest that the subject matter is music and how it makes her feel and how she sees it, the title also tells us that it is blue and green shades but black is also in the picture. The shapes in this picture are contrasting the straight and sharp lines combine with the curvy shapes, this contrast has the effect of drawing your attention into the centre of the piece. The shape also suggests the movement of music moving outwards like sound. This picture is 45cm x 58cm, I think that this would be better if it was bigger because the blending of colours would be more defined and would show...
