Introduction I the aim of my investigation is to find a general rule for square and rectangular boxes in a 10x10 box grid. I will take samples from the number grid as shown in the example below. Starting with a box of 2x2 I will find the product of the top right and bottom left numbers then find the product of the top left and bottom right. Once I have found these products I will find the difference, showing all calculations and answers as I proceed in my investigation. Planning In order to do so I will take 4 samples of square boxes, 2x2, 3x3, 4x4, 5x5, 6x6, 7x7 and 8x8. To find the samples I will move the box e.g. the 2x2 box around the 10x10 grid.
