3 Important factors in the growth of Travel and Tourism Disposable Income Disposable income is a major factor in the growth of travel and tourism because it is the money you have left over after dealing with things like paying the bills, and paying for food etc. Disposable income is the money that you can use for leisure activities like for going on holiday. The more disposable income you have the wider range of activities you will be able to do whereas the less money you have the more limited your choice of activities is. It has played a major part in the growth of travel and tourism because people are now getting paid to take their holidays so this means that tourists have a better or larger amount of disposable income than before and they spend that on wherever they go on holiday which makes that countries economy better.
