Evaluation of our radio station.

... Planning Our task was to plan and launch a new radio station for young people. We wanted it to be new and exciting and have originality so it appealed well to our target audience. Our target audience was for people aged 15-25 and we carried out research as to what is liked by people of this age. Radio 1 which has a target audience the same as Wkd.fm, was helpful to us to distinguish what music is played and how the presenters appeal to the audience. Sara Cox who is quite a new presenter to Radio 1 is very chatty, quite informal and uses slang when speaking. This was what we wanted our presenters to be like so that our listeners felt that they could relate to them. We also listened to stations such as Radio 4 and Radio 2.
