Violence on the Media Is media violence a problem? Violence in the media is something we all watch, something we all hear and something we don't really understand the effect of. Do we constantly need violence to solve problems? No, but the content of our media does not show us this, in fact it promotes it. It is full of mindless violence, which we are all exposed to when we watch the television. The average American child will witness over 200,00 acts of violence on television including 16,000 murders before the age of 18. Violence is one of the most popular forms of entertainment in today's movies, TV shows and video games. More than one thousand scientific studies show. That children may become less sensitive to the pain and suffering of others. That children are more likely to be aggressive. That children may become afraid of the world around them. Children should not tolerate violence...
