Null hypothesis There is no correlation between the levels of facial attractiveness in same sex couples in a relationship, as established by people rating couples photographs on a scale of one to ten. Any similarity is due to chance Level of statistical significance and statistical test An appropriate level of statistical significances is 0.05. Psychologists commonly use this. It means that the results are 95% likely to be accurate The statistical test that I will be using to help summarise and analyse my results is the Spearman's Rho test. Method Design A correlation design was used as the participants rated the attractiveness of the photos on a scale of 1 to 10. this is because we are trying to establish a relationship between 2 variables, namely the level of attractiveness of the two people in the relationship.
