Statute law This refers to legislation passed by the UK parliament. The most important aspects of legislation include: * Employment Rights Act 1996: this covers most individual employment rights and duties including itemised pay statements, Sunday working rates, maternity, paternity and termination of employment rights * Criminal Defence Service Act 2006: An Act to make provision about representation funded as part of the Criminal Defence Service. * Constitutional Reform Act 2005: the Act creates a Supreme Court of the United Kingdom (which is generally to be known as 'The Supreme Court' in the Act and other legislation) and makes provision for the transfer to the Supreme Court of the appellate jurisdiction of the House of Lords and the devolution jurisdiction of the Judicial Committee of the Privy Council.
