The courtroom proceedings Article 25 of the Basic law declares "All Hong Kong residents shall be equal before the law". However I feel that, Hong Kong courtroom proceedings do not ensure a level playing field because Hong Kong has established a very good legal system. A level playing field refers to the fairness and justice in the process of reaching conclusion of a trial. However, there are some factors that may affect the fairness and justice such as the professionalism of jury, the flaws in the adversary system and the language barrier.
