Did Hitler start the Second World War? The answer to whether Hitler started the Second World War cannot be answered with a simple yes or no answer as there ere many factors that went towards the starting of the Second World War. It is fair to say however that Hitler was the main contributor to the hostility that was among nations across the globe, prior to the start of the Second World War. Hitler seemed to break alliances and treaties all the time leading up to the Second World War which meant that he lost the trust that countries such as Britain had showed towards him. The breakdown of international relations really started after the collapse of the League of Nations but it continued into the 1930's when Adolph Hitler became the Chancellor in Germany after he was released form prison. His main ambition was to create a greater Germany again...
