International History (1945-1991): A Definition

The AS Level and A Level History courses spend some time looking at the relationships between different countries since World War II. This includes those between Germany and the rest of the world, or the US and Asian countries, and also within the US and China.

Why Study International History (1945-1991)?

This period following the end of World War II produced arguably unprecedented change in relations, both within states and internationally. Some events you'll study still aren't resolved, while others have been consigned to history. But all of them have a major bearing on our current political and economic environment.

International History (1945-1991): What Will I Study?

Your studies may include writing essays on aspects of the Cold War in Europe between 1945 and the 1990s. You may also write coursework on the recurring conflict in the Middle East since 1948. And your projects may also cover topics such as the US-Vietnam war and political development in Germany.

Further Study After International History (1945-1991)
