It is a commonly accepted fact that Roosevelt's New Deals were his main domestic policies during his tenure as President. There is wide debate however as to whether or not the 2nd New Deal was more major than the 1st. The 2nd New Deal probably did more in terms of policy but on the other hand many historians have argued that it was the 1st New Deal which set the platform for its predecessor and without it the 2nd New Deal would not have been able to happen. The 2nd New Deal was a very important domestic policy in that it did a lot to improve the lives of Americans. The Rural Electrification Administration of 1935 is a very good example of this.
