The day I became interested in dentistry as a profession and a career choice, was the day when I realised that there was more to dentistry than fillings and extractions. As I broadened my understanding of a dentist's vocation, which was based on very little interaction, I realised that dentists play an enormous role in society by providing expert oral advice and relief from pain which in turn requires specialist skills, and I am passionate about taking on this role. As I had very little experience in the world of dentistry I took on some work experience for 3 Weeks which I found extremely fascinating and insightful, this only endorsed my infatuation for the course. I have always been intrigued with the human anatomy and since my experience with an orthodontic surgeon I have been infatuated with the oral anatomy so much more.
