Communication Communication is a process that allows people to exchange information by several methods. In order to provide effective care in the healthcare profession it is vital that you are able to communicate with people on all levels, and using a variety of methods. Causes and effects of poor communication Poor communication creates a bad impression and may cause conflict, which then leads to a negative experience for everyone involved in the communication process. There are various factors that cause communication to break down, such as lack of time or a noisy environment.
