Describe the Treatments Available to help Infertile Couples to have Children. In this essay I am going to write about medical treatments to help couples to have children. I am going to explain each treatment e.g. IVF, AIH, AID etc. Infertility have become much more of a problem in the western world in recent years with as ten per cent of couples in the UK estimated to have fertility problems. These days just as many doctors are engaged in research to find ways of giving children to people who can't have any. Medical technology as provided many solutions. In vitro fertilization (IVF): Infertility is the inability of a couple to become pregnant (regardless of cause) after 1 year of unprotected sexual intercourse -using no birth control methods. With IVF, a method of assisted reproduction, a man's sperm and the woman's egg are combined in a laboratory dish, where fertilization occurs. The resulting...
