According to Banyard, there are three main questions that psychologists seek to answer in relation to the doctor and patient. The first question is about communication, for example, "How well do health workers and patients communicate?" The second question is about going to the doctors, for example, "How do people make the decision to seek medical help?", and finally the third question is with regard to the diagnosis, for example, "How do health workers decided what help to give?" McKinstry and Wang decided to investigate non - verbal communication in the form of doctor's dress between a doctor and patient in a consultation.
