The Beach

... The Beach As I got to the steps leading to the beach I took off my flip flops, to feel the gritty yet soft sand run in between my toes. The long stretch of the golden brown sandy beach seemed to go on forever. Excitement and laughter was heard everywhere, little toddlers running around throwing sand while other children were building their sand castle masterpieces. There was a big game of volley ball going on played by the local teens, diving around everywhere after the ball, sand dust flying here there and everywhere. Mums were laid sun bathing in the blazing sun, their bodies gradually turning bright red like a tomato. While dads were sat in deckchairs with a ice cold bear in one hand reading the daily newspaper. As I carried on walking down the beach I smelt the local Cornish pasty shop, the queue was huge people coming
