Have a little read: ... Torremolinos is a holiday resort on the southern coast of Spain, in the south-west corner of Europe. It is part of the Costa del Sol, a hot and sunny area that is popular for tourism. In the 1950's, Torremolinos was a small fishing village. It wasn't particularly well known, and it kept to itself. But nowadays, it is a bustling city full of tourists and holiday makers, there to enjoy the environment and heat that have made it so popular. Since the 1960's, the tourism rate in Torremolinos has increased, and even more dramatically in he 1970's. This was because of several factors. Some of these include natural factors, such as beautiful scenery and beaches, as well as a hot, sunny climate, due to its close proximity to the equator. There are also economic reasons, like the fact that Spain offers low-cost holidays, and people also have more money to spend
